Hi:

Today is Tuesday and since I don't have to preach this sunday I have a little more time to spend at home. That is great, since Cindy is a little tired due to her treatment last week Thursday.

On Friday night we had a great evening. After taking the girls to their soccer practice our family attended the "Cancer Walk" in Goderich. It is called the "Relay for Life" and helps raise money to fight cancer. Our church puts a team in this event every year, and the members of the team stay up all night and take turns walking around a track. It is a great night of fellowship and also a great way to fight cancer. Our team raised the most money this year. Way to go Trinity!!!! We raised $9200.00. The town of Goderich raised a total of $95000.00.

This year the walk was especially meaningful and also emotional. Since cancer is now part of our family journey the walk took on special meaning. There was some tears but we also laughed alot and had a good time. The most emotional part was when me and the girls lite a luminary candle in honor of Cindy. These candles are lite just when it is dark and are placed around the track. The candles are to remember those who died of cancer, and also to honor those who have beaten cancer and those who are presently struggling with cancer. I will post a few pictures of the walk when I get home.

Other than that we are doing really well. Like I mentioned Cindy is a little tired this week due to her treatments last week Thursday. Hopefully by the end of the week she will have her energy back.

Our children are also going to be gone for a few days. Grandma and grandpa Tamming are going to take them to the African Lion Safari tommorow and so they are going to be spending a few days with my parents. That should be a fun time for them. Next week we hope to go camping for a few nights. So the next few weeks should be a fun time.

Well that about all that is new in our family.

Read a quote today that made me laugh. Since I am 40 now it took on a little more meaning.

"Live your life and forget your age"

Cindy says sometimes I have to act a little more like my age, so I think I am going to be sharing this quote to her.

Hi Everyone:

Well yesterday Cindy had another treatment of chemo. Two down and six to go. The day was long we left Goderich at 6 am and did not get back until 4;30pm. So we (especially Cindy) were tired. The treatment went well.

We did have some good news yesterday. The oncologist said that it looks like the tumour is responding well to the treatment. It appears to be softening which is good.

On a personal note we are doing well. Our spirits are good and we are so thankful for all the support that we are recieving.

Tonight will be a big night for our family as we are going to the Cancer Walk in Goderich. Our church has had a team in for the last number of years, and a number of us spend the entire night taking turns walking around a track to raise funds for Cancer Research. This year it will be more emotional and hit home harder since cancer is now part of our journey as well.

Anyways got to run

God loves us all, it something we have to constantly remember.....

hello Everyone:

I thought it would be easier just to set up a blog so that I can place the updates on here. That way you can access it and I don't have to send out emails all the time.

Things are going well with us. Cindy had her first chemo treatment a few weeks ago. She will have her second one this coming Thursday June 19. Following this she will have a treatment every three weeks.

The first treatment went well. Thankfully she did not get too sick. Last Thursday we had pictures taken by a photographer named Sandra Regier. She takes pictures for people who are suffering with cancer. It was an amazing night and if you want to see the pictures you can see them at the following address www.sandraregier.blogspot.com . We want to thank Sandra for the amazing pictures and the willingness to do this for us. Since these pictures were taken cindy has lost her hair.

Well thanks for all your support and please keep us in your prayers

God is Good, and he is with Cindy the girls and me as she fights this battle.
